clarisse bell (she/they) is a bilingual, multidisciplinary theatre-maker originally from the Bay Area, California and currently based in Montreal. Primarily a performer, Clarisse is likewise a writer, musician, teacher, designer, producer, and director. She has worked with theatres and cultural centers in both Canada and the United States. They are set to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting for the Theatre from Concordia University this spring (2026).
With a lengthy background in movement and musicianship, Clarisse’s artistry stems from physical and somatic roots with poetic sensibilities. As an emerging artist, her practice is embedded in physical theatre at the intersection of the absurd and the avant garde. Themes of existentialism, the sublime in nature, and memory/identity.
